Isle of Flightless Birds

Isle of Flightless BirdsToday called for a change of pace, maybe a little comic relief to start the weekend. Yes, no, hopefully so? ……….Anyway, this one’s inspired by the title of the Twenty One Pilots song “Isle of Flightless Birds.” Read it , listen to it, leave your comments in the dungeon below, and have a fantastic Saturday folks.

Reckless

RecklessToday’s poem is inspired by “Hot Tonight” by Tokyo Police Club (S/O to my friend Charlie for the recommendation). This marks the third edition in my new Sunday series of poetry inspired by a new song/band every week. Check out last week’s post inspired by Never Shout Never HERE and give a listen to Tokyo Police Club below 🙂

Invisible

It’s Sunday folks, which means it’s time for me to announce my NEW SUNDAY SERIES on She’s in Prison! The past 8 months have been dedicated to the Josh Dun Poetry Corner, a series inspired by the drummer from the band Twenty One Pilots. But with the new year I retired Josh’s Corner in a bittersweet culminating post, ready to leap into a new adventure.

So here it is…my new weekly tradition:

I will post a poem inspired by one (or two) song(s) on my current playlist. Every week will be a new band, so hopefully ya’ll can discover some great music and I can celebrate my favorites. Win!

Ready? Let’s go!
