What can I say…I’m a 23 year old that’s still afraid of the dark.

I really liked this! I too tend to be a bit afraid of the dark, which is kind of ironic considering I’m always dreading the morning of another day. I really liked how you captured this though, you’re pretty talented 🙂

Agreed. From one view it can be comforting, with the knowledge that the day is finally over, but yet I’m still frightened when the lights go out. Anyways, great poem, I really enjoy your writing
