I pity them, the poor distracted fools
Who, gawking at those round and shiny jewels,
O’er looked the greater beauty they adorned –
The once by whom those very jewels were worn.
Ah, but there’s a benefit to this –
Those blinded by the surface feature miss
The greater treasure, leaving us who see
A better share of that lady’s beauty.

I’ve lived this feeling many times over, and I’ve never read something that defines such a phenomenon so precisely and accurately. So talented! Are not thy eyes your jewels, peach cheeks and a glowing smile, that should make them run a mile. And what of your pearl teeth as you speak , dam they must be blind.
